Millinium Capital Managers Limited ("Millinium") is committed to protecting your personal information.
You are able to request details about the information Millinium Funds holds about you and you have the right to correct any errors or omissions in this information. Millinium Funds is bound by the National Privacy Principles set out in the ("Privacy Act 1988") (Cth.), which prescribes standards for the collection, disclosure and handling of personal information. We may vary this Privacy Policy from time to time.
What personal information is collected?
We may collect the following kinds of personal information:
- name, address, occupation and contact information;
- details on the areas of products or services you like and your use;
- information about your dealings with us or other business relationships related to us. We will collect this information directly from you but where another source has been used we will disclose that source to you. Information is generally collected via telephone, written correspondence, email, internet enquiries, in person, or via referrals from third parties.
- generally, we will not collect any sensitive information, such as information related to health, unless it is specifically required by law or we receive your express consent to do so or the collection is otherwise permitted under the Privacy Act.
How we use your personal information?
We only use information for the provision of purposes for which it is collected and related purposes (such as offering products or services). If you do not provide this personal information we may not be able to provide you with such products or services. The use of and disclosure of personal information, is limited to:
- marketing products and services from us or others affiliated with us;
- complying with legislative and regulatory requirements;
- maintaining our relationship with you, subject to your consent;
- providing you with product or market updates or ongoing customer service, including queries you may have;
- conducting market or customer research;
- updates or changes to our website or changes to our technology, service providers and others, but generally on a confidential basis with any such providers; and
- to fulfil and operate our business requirements.
Your Tax File Number ("TFN") is not used as an account identifier and is only disclosed as required by law to the Australian Taxation Office.
Security:
We take reasonable steps to protect all your information we hold from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Your personal information is only accessible by authorised personnel within Explorer or its affiliates and only for specific purposes for which we have your consent. You may advise us to destroy, delete, change or stop holding your information or sending you updates on goods or services of our related companies or others affiliated with us, at any time.
Personal information recorded in hard copy is stored in a secure environment. Only authorised persons will have access to the secured environment. Electronic information is stored in a database that is password protected. Personal information that is no longer required is destroyed or de-identified. Hard copy files will be shredded and electronic copies will have the name, address and contact numbers of the individual deleted. With your assistance, your information will be promptly updated as practicable, if it is incomplete, contains errors, or is out-of-date.
Your information may be secured in hard copy or electronically and is kept only for as long as is required for the purposes for which it was collected or as the law requires. How do you get access to your information?
You have the right to request access information we hold about you or request corrections to it. We may charge you a fee for access to this information and reserve the right to do this. We may refuse to provide you with access to this information, only if the National Privacy Principles permit us to do this.
How do you raise concerns?
If you have a privacy concern, you should contact our Privacy Officer. If they are unable to help you, you may contact one of our director's on 1800 807 510regarding your concern. If you are still dissatisfied with the resolution of your concern you may apply to the Federal Privacy Commissioner to have your concern addressed.
