Brett Walker LLB
Brett joined the Financial Services Industry as an ASC investigator in 1991 after working in the Insolvency & Reconstruction industry since the 1980s. In 1992 he helped form the first securities dealer surveillance and inspection team and undertook licensing and audit inspections of licensees in NSW and nationally.
In 1994 Brett was seconded to the Financial Planning Association of Australia Limited (“FPA”) and became the central contact point for 10,000+ FPA members on Compliance and Best Practice business issues. In 1998 Brett recognised the growing demand for tailored business compliance solutions and created Smart Compliance. Since then he has worked with hundreds of planners and advisers to improve their business compliance and risk management systems.
